Nikos Koronakis is the President & CEO of OMIKRON KAPPA CONSULTING S.A. and a Geotechnical &Mining Engineer with over 3 decades of extensive experience in large scale infrastructure and engineering projects requiring overall management, coordination and expertise skills. Nikos Koronakis has a successful leadership track record with extensive experience and professional knowledge on all types of projects life cycle, from inception to construction and turnkey. Has participated and operated in full spectrum in various infrastructure projects abroad such as in the UAE, Qatar, India, Germany, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus, Serbia-Montenegro, Venezuela, Albania, Russia, as well as, in all major concession highway projects in Greece. The diversity of project experience gained in decades brings a wealth of technical expertise and practical experience to project standstills. A dynamic, result-oriented, committed and innovative executive manager, showing outmost responsibility and concentration. Significantly experienced in managing from start to end projects, from design to construction. A well-recognized expert with numerous publications in the relevant sector.

Dr. Panayotis Kontothanasis

Vice President & Legal Representative

Panayotis Kontothanasis is the Vice President & Legal Representative of OMIKRON KAPPA CONSULTING S.A. He is a Dr. Geotechnical & Mining Engineer with 30+ years of extensive experience in large scale infrastructure and engineering projects requiring overall management, coordination and expertise skills. Has been engaged in the engineering design of infrastructure projects and has successfully implemented and operated a great number and variety of challenging projects in UAE, Albania, India, Qatar, Bulgaria, Serbia-Montenegro, Venezuela, Israel, Germany, Romania, Cyprus, Slovakia, Lithuania, Russia, Ethiopia, Ghana and in all major concession highway projects in Greece. Devoted into ensuring overall project success by integrating qualified services and commits himself into bringing a wealth of technical expertise and practical experience to standstills. Proficient in contract management, interfacing with all disciplines and human resources management. Highly motivated, with the expertise and initiative needed to be inspirational “mentor”, with the ability to develop strategy plans, identify opportunities and implement pioneer design and construction methodologies in order to turn to advantage and optimize project execution, by effectively managing risks and placing strategy goals. Marilia Balasi

Senior Tunnel & Geotechnical Engineer, MSc

Marilia is a Senior Tunnel & Geotechnical Engineer and since 2009 she has taken part in a great number of international infrastructure projects. She is highly skilled in Tunnel & Underground Design, Geotechnical/Structural Design and Finite Element Analysis. She holds a Master’s Degree in the Design and Construction of Underground Works from National Technical University of Athens. She is a member of the Greek Tunnelling Society (GTS) steering committee & former Editor of GTS Tunnel Bulletin.

Christos Biliris

Senior Tunnel & Geotechnical Engineer, MSc, DIC

Christos Biliris is Senior Tunnel, Geotechnical & Structural Engineer, MSc, DIC with 20 years of professional experience in the fields of geotechnical and structural engineering, rock and soil mechanics, both in Greece and abroad. He is specialized in geotechnical – structural projects, in the design of temporary and final linings of tunnels, slope stability analysis, dams, high embankments, as well as, flood protection projects. He has significant experience in the use of sophisticated geotechnical and structural analysis tools, including two-and three-dimensional limit equilibrium methods and finite element modeling. Christos is experienced in the design of ground improvement measures, in the foundation design of structures, buildings and towers. Additional expertise includes liquefaction assessment, engineering seismology and numerical modeling and simulation. He has been managing the design of infrastructure projects and leading design teams, successfully delivering demanding projects on time and within budget.

Harilaos Boursianis

Project Civil & Structural Engineer, MSc

Ηarilaos Boursianis has graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering at Patras University, Greece (2016). His work experience so far was focused on the provision of technical assistance for the development and conducting of various specialized scientific analysis for structural engineering software as well as on providing engineering consulting services for various projects financed from the European Union Development Fund. He is a proficient user of numerous scientific software applications for civil engineering projects.

Nikolaos Bousoulas

Principal Geotechnical & Structural Engineer, MSc

Nikos Bousoulas is a Civil Engineer, AUTH 1981 and holds a MSc degree in Geotechnical Engineering. He has more than 40 years of professional experience in the design and construction of large-scale public infrastructure projects. His activities concern, among others, tunneling works, underground stations, shafts, railway infrastructure and other major infrastructure / civil engineering projects. His experience in the context of these projects covers the fields of Technical Management, Project Management, Contract Management, Specification Drafting, Geological and Geotechnical Investigations, Geotechnical Designs, Risk Engineering Management, BIM Project Management and Asset Information Management.

Andreas Delentas

Project Mining & Geotechnical Engineer, MSc

Andreas Delentas is a Mining & Geotechnical Engineer MSc (2020) with a Master’s degree in Design and Construction of Underground Works both from the National Technical University of Athens. Throughout his academic career has received numerous awards for excellence and achievement. He is a proficient user of scientific programs (Rocscience, Surpac GEOVIA, AutoCad, Matlab & Pathfinder etc.).

Spyros Digenis

Senior Civil & Structural Engineer, MSc

Spyros Digenis is a Structural Engineer (2010) and holds a MSc degree in Structural Engineering. He has more than 10 years of professional experience in the structural design of new and existing buildings. He has elaborated numerous designs for private and public sectors, such as private residences, industrial facilities, indoor arenas, theaters, museums, bus stations and airport buildings. Additionally, he is experienced in seismic assessment and retrofitting of protected listed buildings. His involvement extends from conceptual design to the provision of technical consultancy services towards the construction site.

Nikos Gakis

Senior Geotechnical & Civil Engineer, MSc

Nikos Gakis is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with 25 years of professional experience in the design of large-scale infrastructure projects both in Greece and abroad. His experience covers of wide range of projects from highways and railways, to earth dams/embankments, waste landfills, wind & solar parks and power station facilities. Nikos is specialized in the fields of earthworks (slopes, embankments), landslide rehabilitation, retaining and support measures for soil and rock slopes, in situ geotechnical monitoring, organization and monitoring of earthworks Q.C. and in soil conservation projects.

Dr. Andreas – Gerasimos Gavras

Senior Geotechnical & Civil Engineer, MSc, PhD

Andreas - Gerasimos Gavras is a Civil Engineer (N.T.U.A.) and holds M.Sc. and PhD degrees in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, USA. He is highly skilled with over 10 years of experience in soil–structure interaction and geotechnical earthquake engineering. Andreas is a diligent and methodical Geotechnical Engineer with a positive attitude, an inquiring and analytical mindset and solid software skills. He has proven ability of working independently as well as within a team, and exhibits great composure and maturity. He has numerous publications in the relevant field and has received a great number of honors and awards throughout his academic career.

Dr. Konstantinos Giannopoulos

Senior Civil & Geotechnical Engineer, Meng, ACGI, DIC, PhD, PMP

Dr. Konstantinos Giannopoulos is a Senior Civil & Geotechnical Engineer, Meng, ACGI, DIC, PhD, PMP with over 15 years of professional experience in the design of large-scale infrastructure projects. His experience and expertise cover design from scheme development throughout detailed design, construction validation & control, as well as, resolution of construction and post-construction issues. Dr. Giannopoulos demonstrates outstanding leadership & managerial skills and he is an effective coordinator in teamwork environment with extensive experience in the field of multidisciplinary work.

Kleomenis Ioannou

Senior Engineering Geologist

Kleomenis Ioannou is an Engineering Geologist graduated from AUTH 2005. He has more almost 20 years of professional experience in the design and construction infrastructure projects, including dams and mines. His activities concern, among others, Geological and Geotechnical Designs and Investigations and Mining Designs.

Athina Kaliouraki

Senior Geotechnical & Structural Engineer, MSc , Construction Supervision

Athina Kaliouraki is a Civil – Geotechnical Engineer MSc (NTUA). Her experience spans for over 25 years, having been actively involved in large-scale infrastructure projects (mainly motorways and metro as well as major dam and mining projects) both in Greece and abroad (mainly Balkans and Cyprus). Athina has successfully undertaken and completed Construction Supervision Roles and has acted as Designer on Site Representative in numerous project assignments.

Dr. Vasileios Kallimogiannis

Senior Geotechnical & Structural Engineer, MSc, PhD, MBA

Vasileios Kallimogiannis is a Civil Engineer from NTUA, maintains a master's degree and a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering as well as a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA). He is specialized in geotechnical engineering, with special emphasis on rock mechanics. He has five years’ experience in geotechnical designs and research programs relevant to slope stability, protection of historical monuments, probabilistic analysis of seismic hazards and to foundation of dams, having collaborated with research teams in Greece and abroad. Additionally, he has seven years’ experience in the execution and interpretation of rock mechanics laboratory tests. During his academic tenure he was teaching assistant of three undergraduate courses at the School of Civil Engineering of NTUA. Moreover, he has received 2 state scholarships for the elaboration of PhD thesis, 3 awards from D. Thomaidis foundation and has numerous publications in the relevant field. He is also an invited reviewer in international scientific journals (eg BOEG).

Panagiotis Kapelios

Panagiotis Kapelios is a Structural Engineer and holds a MSc degree in Structural Engineering (N.T.U.A.) He has 5 years of varied structural engineering experience in numerous projects. Christos Karafoulidis - Retsos

Project Civil & Structural Engineer, MSc

Christos Karafoulidis - Retsos has graduated from the National Technical University of Athens (2023). He is highly motivated and diligent. Christos is a competent user of various scientific software applications: SCADA Pro, Midas Gen, SOFiSTiK, SAP2000, SeismoStruct, DIANA FEA, AutoCAD and enjoys participating in multidisciplinary projects.

Lampros Karageorgos

Senior Engineering Geologist, Site Representative in Romania

Lampros Karageorgos is a Senior Engineering Geologist with almost 3 decades of professional experience in large scale infrastructure projects performing Construction Supervision and Designer on Site Representative Roles. Experience ranges from motorways, underground constructions, earthworks, geotechnics, foundations, shafts, and associated structures with emphasis on underground tunnels using observation methods according to NATM / TBM and drill & blast techniques. Proficient in FIDIC conditions of contract and in ensuring compliance with contractual documents, requirements and specifications as well as coordinating handover documentation and relevant procedures. Experience includes Health and Safety Regulations monitoring.

Olga Katsa

Principal Project Director

Olga Katsa is a Principal Project Director, Engineering Geologist / Geoscientist with over 2,5 decades of experience background in contract management. She has long valuable contribution in large scale infrastructure and mining projects. She has lead teams in elaborating numerous designs of technical and mining works, retaining structures & walls, slope stability audits in οpen cuts and embankments, landslides, earthworks, flood protection. OIga is responsible for developing strategy and managing Omikron Kappa’s resources to best serve clients around the globe. She is additionally in charge of the project management & technical direction of multi-disciplinary projects through all phases of design.

Dimitrios Katsaris

Principal Geotechnical Engineer Dipl. MEng, MSc, CEng MICE

Dimitrios Katsaris is a MSc Mining & Geotechnical Engineer (NTUA) with a post graduate master’s degree in Design & Construction of Underground Works (NTUA) and over 20 years of international experience. During his professional career has lead and directed detailed design teams in numerous challenging mega projects, mainly for contractors, under strict timeframes and budgets in the field of metros, highways/ railways, NATM design and underground works, specialized geotechnical works (foundations/embankments on liquefiable materials, landslide rehabilitation, works deployment and staging in areas with a weak and delicate geotechnical response, innovative MSEW and cut design in extremely adverse geological and geometrical conditions). To date Dimitrios has cooperated with world leading contractors and companies and has strategically managed and directed geotechnical teams and has succeeded in reaching maximum performance of both human and financial resources.

Mary Koronaki

Mary Koronaki has graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering at University of Patras (2022) holding a master’s degree in Sustainable Transport Systems and Project Management. She is enthusiastic and highly motivated, diligent, methodical, with excellent communication skills. Yannis Kourelis

Project Geotechnical & Civil Engineer, MEng, MSc, DIC

Yannis Kourelis is a Civil Engineer from National Technical University of Athens with a MSc in Soil Mechanics and Engineering Seismology from Imperial College London. Yannis has accumulated demonstratable well-rounded experience in specialist geotechnical engineering through approximately 5 years of design experience in projects in the United Kingdom, Greece, Estonia and Balkan area. He has been involved in most aspects of geotechnical engineering, from planning and supervising ground investigations works to designing shallow and piled foundations, retaining structures and earthworks.

Apostolos Kozompolis

Principal Geotechnical & Civil Engineer, M.Eng., P.E., G.E.

Apostolos Kozompolis is a Civil Engineer (N.T.U.A., 1995) and holds a Μ.Εng. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, USA (1998). He has solid background on a wide range of projects within the field of large-scale multi-use developments, underground structures and tunnels, highway / railroad, flood control, etc. Apostolos has 9 years of professional experience in the USA with project management and project coordination rοles and 15 years of professional experience in major Greek consultancy companies in a variety of projects (Greek and International). Project engagements involve: deep / shallow foundations, deep excavations, slope stability, soil improvement, seismic risk analysis, etc. He has numerous publications in the field of geotechnical engineering and has received a great number of honors and distinctions throughout his academic career.

Georgia Laskari

Project Geotechnical & Civil Engineer, MSc

Georgia Laskari has graduated from the department of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens Greece (2023). Her experience so far is focused on quality control and on supervision of industrial facilities projects. She is an independent user of numerous scientific programs in the relevant field. Georgia is a member of OMIKRON KAPPA CONSULTING S.A. team since September 2024.

Ersi Lazari

Project Civil & Structural Engineer, MSc

Ersi Lazari is a Civil Engineer, Graduate of the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (2021). She has experience in a wide range of building and civil engineering projects, both in the analysis and design of new reinforced concrete and steel structures as well as in the structural assessment of existing structures made of concrete and/or load-bearing masonry. She is an independent user of numerous scientific software in the relevant field. As of September 2024, Ersi has been a member of OMIKRON KAPPA CONSULTING S.A. engineering team.

Agis Livas

Project Engineering Geologist, MSc, DIC

Agis Livas is an Engineering Geologist graduate of the Geology Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece (2014), having a MSc in Applied & Environmental Geology from the same University (2017). Agis also holds a MSc/DIC diploma from Imperial College London in Petroleum Geoscience (2019) as a scholar. Having secured the necessary teamwork skills Agis is ready and prepared to work in a demanding and specialized working environment. He has 4 years of experience in GIS & respective Data Analysis projects with the use of special scientific programs (QGIS and OpenJUMP GIS). In addition, he was laboratory Assistant at Sedimentary Petrology Course at the Department of Geology of A.U.Th. His interests include volunteering activities (International Geological Congresses, UNICEF programs and Basketball team of the University). Since September 2024 Agis is a member of OMIKRON KAPPA CONSULTING S.A. engineering team.

Michalis Mantziaras

Project Civil & Structural Engineer, MSc

Michalis Mantziaras is a Civil Engineer (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 2022) and holds a Master’s Degree in Bridge Engineering (University of Surrey U.K., 2024). He is a diligent and methodical engineer with a positive attitude, inquiring and analytical mindset and solid software skills. He has a good background in the fields of: Structural & Bridge Engineering (for reinforced and pre-stressed concrete / steel / composite structures), computational geotechnical Engineering and Soil-Structure interaction. He also has experience in a wide range of structural (Midas Civil, SCIA, IDEA StatiCa, SAP2000 etc.) and geotechnical (PLAXIS 2D/3D etc.) software. Michalis is passionately involved in challenging civil engineering/building/structural projects within the field of bridge and structural engineering. He is adaptable and hardworking, enjoying working within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.

Panayotis Mantziaras is a Principal Structural & Geotechnical Engineer, MSc with over 3 decades of actual experience with an extended background of project and contract management and coordination. He is fully qualified in Highway, Rail, Hydro/Dam, Mining projects and specialized in the elaboration of geotechnical, structural and tunnel designs. He has led and had contract management and coordination roles in the design of numerous projects worldwide. He is an effective coordinator of team performance, able to manage a number of teams simultaneously. Experience covers Project & Construction Management, Consultancy, Design and Engineering Coordination. Has a broad experience in resolving technical problems, fact that allows him to play a key role in overcoming any challenge and constraint of complex engineering projects.

Ilias Marras

Project Geotechnical & Mining Engineer, MSc

Ilias Marras is a Mineral Resources Engineer from the Technical University of Crete Greece with a Master's Degree in the Design and Construction of Underground Works from National Technical University of Athens Greece. He is currently finalizing his studies at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece in the School of Civil Engineering. Ilias has so far gained experience in the design of underground mining activities, in structural designs of building projects and in quality control of major road construction projects. He has been actively involved in the field of Health and Safety at Work and maintains NEBOSH International Certification. In the past he has worked in the concrete production industry. He is an experienced user of AutoCAD, Deswik, Scada Pro, 3Muri scientific software.

Maria Merkouri

Maria Merkouri is a Civil Engineer from the Department of Civil Engineering at University of Patras (2022). Maria is a young yet diligent and methodical engineer with a keen interest in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering. Maria is involved in flagship company projects.

Dimitris Mouroukis

Principal Civil & Structural Engineer, MSc

Dimitris Mouroukis is a Structural Engineer, MSc with more than 20 years of national & international experience ranging from conceptual to detailed structural designs in major infrastructure projects. He has led numerous multidisciplinary design teams for the design of different types of structures (stations, bridges, buildings, tunnels) and has drafted relevant design and construction specifications. Specialized in the implementation of Eurocodes for structural and seismic design of concrete/steel structures, as well as, other National Codes of Practice (Indian, British, Hellenic Standards etc.). Combination of expert visionary, strategic, and advanced innovative technical resolution skills to formulate and enact solutions quickly and decisively. Integrity and interpersonal skills that cultivate strong business relations and partnership networks.

Iro Mytareli

Project Civil & Structural Engineer, MSc, DIC

Iro Mytareli holds a diploma in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (2018) and is also a graduate of the Imperial College London (UK), awarded with the MSc, DIC degree in Earthquake Engineering (2019). She has already gained 2 years of working experience abroad (UK) and more than 2 years in Greece. She has mainly been involved in the design of reinforced concrete buildings as well as other concrete and steel structures. She is a competent user of various structural analysis & design software such as ΡΑΦ (ΤΟΛ), ETABS (CSI), SAFE (CSI), Scada Pro etc. and is also familiar with CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino).

Nikos Orestis

Senior Geotechnical & Structural Engineer, MSc

Nikos Orestis is a Civil Engineer specialized in Structural Engineering. He has 30 years of professional experience in design and construction supervision of civil and architectural works (structural strengthening, residential development, offices, commercial retails, industrial projects / buildings) as well as of geotechnical works (reinforcement, foundations, embankments, slopes, tunnels). He has successfully completed many projects from the position of Construction Manager, Construction Supervisor, Quality Assurance Engineer.

Sofia Panagi

CAD Production Engineer, Civil Engineer, MSc

Sofia Panagi is a Structural Engineer and holds a MSc degree in Seismic Engineering (N.T.U.A.) She has 5 years of varied structural & geotechnical engineering experience in various projects. Since October 2022 Sofia is a member of OMIKRON KAPPA CONSULTING S.A. with the role of CAD Production Engineer.

Konstantinos Pandis

Principal Geotechnical & Civil Engineer, MSc, DIC

Konstantinos Pandis is a Civil – Structural Engineer (NTUA) and graduate of Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine (U.K.), awarded with the M.Sc., D.I.C. degrees in the field of Soil Mechanics – Environmental Geotechnics. His experience spans for over 30 years, having been involved with the elaboration of geotechnical designs of large-scale infrastructure projects (road and railway) both in Greece and abroad (mainly in Saudi Arabia, the Balkans and United Kingdom). Has been extensively involved with the use of numerical methods (e.g. Finite Elements) and of non-linear soil models, from the beginning of the 90s and has managed to develop integrated perception of the complexity of the geotechnical engineering problems, especially of those relating to ‘soil - structure interaction’. He has the ability, not only to investigate and produce innovative solutions but also to decompose and simplify them in a ‘step by step’ manner so as to share them, as a mentor, with other engineering members providing valuable technical guidance, in order for them to reach solid understanding of the scientific aspects governing their effectiveness.

John Pantazis

Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer

John Pantazis is a Civil Infrastructure Engineer with more than 20 years of experience in major infrastructure, highway, tunnel and mining projects. As Site Construction Engineer he has been engaged in construction, site organization, supervision and safety to quantity surveying, time and cost scheduling of works and contract administration. He has held the position of Technical Office Engineer for Contractor and Subcontractors on site. For the last decade, John provides Designer On Site Follow-Up Services and Technical Consulting Services with main tasks ranging from supervision, evaluation, design modification, application designs and tackling with construction issues. He displays sound engineering judgment and skills, while maintaining excellent relationship and interface with engineering and construction members.

George Papadakos

Senior Geotechnical & Civil Engineer, MSc

George Papadakos is a Civil Engineer specialized in Geotechnical Engineering, holding a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering. He has 25 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering and extensive involvement in the design of infrastructure projects. He is fully qualified and experienced in the preparation of geotechnical reports for energy, road, hydraulic, railway projects as well as for solid and liquid waste management projects, with a focus on the design of foundations, retaining walls, landslide rehabilitation measures and various geotechnical problems.

Dimitris Papadimitriou

Dimitris Papadimitriou is an Engineering Geologist graduate of the Geology Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece (1998), having a MSc in Applied & Environmental Geology from the same University (2020). Dimitris is currently under PhD thesis elaboration at the Department of Geology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece. He has almost 3 decades of experience in various environments from mining to civil infrastructure projects and motorways as well as health & safety and quality assurance procedures. Since September 2024 Dimitris is a member of OMIKRON KAPPA CONSULTING S.A. engineering team.

Artemis Papageorgiou

Project Civil & Geotechnical Engineer, MSc

Artemis Papageorgiou has graduated from the School of Engineering of Newcastle University and holds a Masters in Civil Engineering (2022). Has been involved in projects mainly in the fields of geotechnical engineering in Greece. She is willing and diligent, competent user of numerous scientific software programs such as Slide, SWedge, GGU-Footing, BetonExpress, FIDES DV-Partner and more, as well as drawing software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Rhino.

Dimitris Papatsikourakis

Engineering Geologist

Dimitris Papatsikourakis is an Engineering Geologist graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece (2018). He has 5 years of experience in supervision and evaluation of geotechnical investigations as well as geological site surveys for mining and highway – railway infrastructure projects. He is also experienced in executing laboratory testing of soil and rock mechanics. Since March 2024 Dimitris is a member of OMIKRON KAPPA CONSULTING S.A. engineering team.

Kyriakos Papoutsakis

Senior Civil & Structural Engineer, MSc, MBA

Kyriakos Papoutsakis is a Civil & Structural Engineer (N.T.U.A.). Holds a Masters’ Degree in Management & Business Administration (Athens MBA). Kyriakos is highly skilled with more than 15 years of extensive experience in large scale infrastructure projects (underground metro stations, retaining & pile walls etc.) and buildings requiring overall management, coordination and expertise skills. Has participated and operated in full spectrum in infrastructure projects abroad such as in Qatar and in India, as well as, in major infrastructure projects and buildings in Greece. He is result oriented, exhibits outmost responsibility, excellent organizational and communicational skills and is proficient in team work, analytical thinking and numerical analysis elaboration. Kyriakos enjoys working within multi-cultural teams showing great composure and maturity even under stressful circumstances. Kyriakos is an enthusiastic learner and constantly enriches his knowledge and studies.

Vaios Pontikas

Panayotis Tsimopoulos is a MSc Mining & Geotechnical Engineer with over 15 years of professional experience, both in Greece and abroad. He is specialized in mining & geotechnical engineering, rock / soil engineering, design of underground works, geology – hydrogeology, earthworks designs, environmental impact analysis (EIA) processes, slope stability and landslide analysis and engineering, foundation – support measures, infrastructure works feasibility and design, in situ geotechnical monitoring and rock mass behavior testing, rockmass reinforcement techniques and underground openings support selection, stress and displacement analysis and numerical modelling of rock masses. George Zalachoris is a Civil Engineer (N.T.U.A.) and holds M.Sc. and PhD degrees in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, USA. He has a solid background on a wide range of themes within the field of geotechnical engineering, with a particular focus on geotechnical earthquake engineering. George has significant consulting experience in the design of large infrastructure projects, as well as in advanced 2D and 3D numerical modelling of complex geosystems and lifelines under natural hazard scenarios. He is a reliable team player with excellent organization and communicational skills. To date, George has collaborated with world-leading institutions (ex, University of California at Berkeley, NASA, Geopier Foundation), academics and practitioners both in the USA and Europe, he has numerous publications in the field of geotechnical engineering and has received a great number of honors and awards throughout his academic career.
