OMIKRON KAPPA CONSULTING S.A. (OK) elaborated the Geotechnical and Structural application designs for the redesign of the Civil Works Venizelos Station of the Thessaloniki Metro Basic Line. Venizelos metro station is of significant archaeological interest, located in the heart of the Byzantine Metropolis and therein an important number of monuments and antiquities is preserved. The designs elaborated from OK also include the steel pedestrian bridge of the Venizelos Station for viewing the antiquities, the BIM design of temporary and permanent structures of the station, as well as, the structural Analysis of the Archeological area based on 3D representation of the archaeological findings. The opening ceremony for the Thessaloniki Metro Basic Line was realized in November 30^th, 2024.

OK has elaborated numerous application designs also for the Line of the Extension of the Thessaloniki Metro to Kalamaria (designs for the TBM and NATM tunnels, Mikra Station & Forestation, Crossovers and End Shaft). The Extension of the Thessaloniki Metro to Kalamaria is expected to be handed over for use next year.
