Egnatia Odos Motorway is a 670km Motorway that stretches from Igoumenitsa in Prefecture of Thesprotia to Kipi in Prefecture of Evros and linked with borders of Albania – FYROM – Bulgaria – Turkey, through nine major vertical axes (National & EU funds). A motorway in a high seismicity area, in mountainous and hilly terrain, with varying geology and intense water regimes.
Services provided:
Geological, geotechnical and structural designs of tunnels, portals, ventilation and smoke extraction shafts, emergency accesses and structures, hydraulic works, retaining structures and foundation design of piers and abutments for highway bridges. Reinforced embankment: gabions combined with geogrids, reinforced earth, geotextiles, pre-constructed elements, rock fill embankments. Excavation works and special geotechnical applications, cut & cover structures for landscape rehabilitation of tunnel portals, on-site technical assistance – monitoring during construction of the project – construction follow up
